Why should everyone try Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Want to know why more and more people are joining our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu School (BJJ) in West Island? Keep reading!

Many people try Brazilian Jiu-jitsu because it can make them “badasses,” give them confidence or even keep them in shape. But here is the reason why EVERYBODY REALLY should try BJJ: it is a rare martial art that has a unique ability to transcend the form of merely being a sport and has a habit of transforming its practitioners’ life.

Ultimately, you will learn that:

1 – Frequency and Consistency are key: if you want to master something, make it part of your regular life. No excuses. Simple as that.

2 – There is no shame in failing: in jiu-jitsu if you are not failing, either you are not being pushed hard enough, or you are not trying new things. Accept it, learn and grow.

3 – Patience IS a virtue: greater achievements start with small goals. You will master the techniques when your mind and body are ready for them. It takes time, but it is SO worth it.

4 – Learning is an amazing journey: you will never be able to say that you know everything about BJJ, so you will enjoy learning and experiencing new things. This makes you flex your learning muscles, on and outside the mat.

5 – Never give up: it is said in BJJ that “a black belt is just a white belt who didn’t give up.” Give in to the process and keep turning up.

See you on the mat! Oss!
